Funded by the Scottish Government and BEMIS Scotland, the project aimed to celebrate the achievements, potential and confidence of young people from ethnic minority and isolated communities, and to create new opportunities for them to shine locally and on a global stage.
EWfC arranged a fun-filled activity for children and families, facilitated by Glasgow Science Centre. Participants learned 12 different themes of physiology and anatomy exhibits!
Young people were involved at every step of the way. During registration, distributing flyers, monitoring and evaluating the event. Participants were also given a brief training about the exhibit, so they could explain the exhibit to other children and people. Throughout all of these steps, valuable skills were taught, along with leadership and placing trust and value in each of them. In the end, the children were so keen to help that they volunteered to set up the food and refreshments table for everyone!
