Our Strategic Plan Header
Our strategic plan has been devised using a range of feedback and evaluations of current and previous projects and services from EWfC service users, volunteers, and staff, Accordingly, three main themes have been identified as having the most impact and value for our community and service users.
The three key themes that make up our strategic plan are:
  • Community Engagement and Connection
  • Volunteer Development and Training
  • Community Health and Wellbeing
These themes support our strategic focus over the next three years, each theme represents priority thinking and actions so that we can continue to support women now and in the future.
Meet our CEO and Founder Header
Born in Rufaa, Sudan and educated at the University of Khartoum, Asma Abdalla is originally an agricultural engineer. After completing her Masters in Belgium, and moving to Scotland in 2000, Asma began working in the charity sector.
After working in the Scottish Refugee Council and with various charitable projects, in 2015 Asma decided to go out on her own and start Empower Women for Change which encompassed her life-long vision of ethnic minority women encouraged and empowered to be confident, resilient, equal, and actively leading and contributing to the community and society as a whole.
This is what we now work towards every day at EWfC.
