‘Universal Basic Income: Ask the Scottish Candidates’

What is Basic Income?
A basic income is a periodic, uniform (except by age), unconditional cash payment delivered to all on an individual basis, without means test or behavioural requirement. (BINS Scotland definition)
Why are we having this event?
It’s a really important time for Scotland. National Elections are on Thursday 6th May; established faces, new parties and independent candidates are all vying for your Holyrood votes.
This event is a chance to interact with candidates on their approach to UBI, poverty, insecure citizens status, precarious work, young people and women at risk of domestic abuse.
With a special focus on Glasgow, but relevant Scotland-wide, we’ll be asking:
Is it time to try UBI?
